Hearing Hesus’s response of "Indigo Light," Caine’s spirit tightened, and a series of celestial bodies—Red Moon, Brown Star, Crimson Star, Blue Star, Golden Star—successively appeared in his mind, as if they were eyes, gazing down upon him from above. Subtly, a connection was established without a sound, and the impending fatal erosion caused every "spirit worm" within Caine to feel uneasy. As an angel in charge of the "Source Citadel," Caine had numerous means to sever this connection: first, by leveraging the full status and power of mythic beings; second, by suppressing his own anchors, utilizing the spiritual imprints left by the "Primordial"; or third, by drawing upon the currently accessible "Source Citadel" atmosphere. Without hesitation, he chose the simplest, most convenient, and one that posed the least risk. A faint gray-white mist began to hover subtly around him, and the celestial projections within his mind gradually faded. After a moment of pause, Caine composed himself and said: "So many Outer Gods?"
"Hesús of the Indigo Light is the embodiment of the domain of Prayer. He touched the ruby ring on his right hand and nodded: 'Since the "First" awakened and split, the most powerful outer deities have gathered within this small galaxy. Some seek to reclaim the primordial essence and attributes that were torn away and drawn toward them, while others hope to obtain essence and higher attributes that are similar to their own and can accommodate them.' 'The First'... the Seven Lights refer to the earliest Creator as 'The First,' rather than 'The Primordial'... semantically, there's little difference between the two. Klein pondered carefully: 'The essence and attributes that were torn away and drawn toward them?' While he understood the rest of what the Indigo Light had just said, and had even previously held similar speculations, this particular point came as a surprise."
As a symbol of the "meditation" field, the elder Kutu-mi, embodying love and wisdom, kindly explained: "Your Highness, you should be familiar with the Law of Convergence of Exceptional Properties." Seeing Klein nod, the elder—his forehead adorned with a "sapphire" and his mouth surrounded by a dense beard—continued: "This is not merely a law of the Sequence Path; it applies equally to the properties of the Prime and the Outer Gods, especially those that were directly born and created from the beginning—such as the 'Fallen Mother Goddess,' the 'Child of Chaos,' and the 'Tree of Desire.' As for whether there are others among the Outer Gods belonging to this category, we are not entirely certain. Nevertheless, these three 'Old Ones,' who have lost portions of their Prime essence and properties, are particularly concerned about and actively engaged in the erosion of reality, consistently striving to influence the Spirit Realm and to pollute our world."
Klein nodded slightly, speaking with a tone of confirmation: "So, among the current twenty-two paths and nine primordial essences, some belong to the Outer Gods?"
"Yes," Saint Germain, holding the amethyst symbolizing the domain of "ritual magic," seized the opportunity to respond. "Only when the twenty-two paths and nine essences are fully realized does balance emerge—this may stem from the original esoteric connections."
Klein thought for a moment and asked: "Which ones specifically?"
Saint Germain, his face glowing with a soft, faint purple hue, spoke with a notably mysterious tone: "For instance, the 'Moon' and 'Earth' paths both belong to that 'Fallen Mother Goddess,' who stands at the pinnacle among all the Outer Gods. Even after portions of her primordial essence—her 'Nest'—were separated, she remains the sovereign of all negative forces throughout the cosmos."
"Just as Saint-Germain had finished speaking," the "Green Light" Serapis suddenly chuckled, "if you carefully analyze those twenty-two paths, you'll find that the 'Moon' and 'Earth' paths are particularly out of place. Hah, the 'Witch' path embodies the original feminine aspect, while the 'Red Priest' path represents the original masculine domain—perfectly forming a kind of distorted symmetry. Yet both the 'Moon' and 'Earth' paths enable the extraordinary practitioners of these paths to transform into feminine beings at higher sequences, and no other path offers a corresponding symmetry." Noticing that Klein slightly raised an eyebrow, the "Green Light," with her long artistic hair, added with a smile, "The Earth path's sequence 2 is known as the 'Desert Mother,' and the Moon path's sequence 1 is the 'Beauty Goddess.' Therefore, the bloodline has only queens, not male dukes." So, was the ancient goddess Lilith originally male or female?
Klein murmured under his breath and pondered, asking, "Is the 'Primordial Moon' indeed the 'Fallen Mother Goddess'?"
"Yes," the "Red Light" Ael Moria, wearing a crown of diamonds, nodded with dignity. "She has claimed the Moon, gradually eroding reality through her own essence and her influence over the 'Nest' and the two paths of 'Uniqueness.' The 'Primordial Moon' is her embodiment in this world."
Pausing then, Ael Moria added, "Her full title is: 'Fallen Mother Goddess,' 'Origin of Evil,' 'The Ever-Enduring,' and 'The Contaminated Nest.'"
As Klein recalled the Moon's dramatic reaction when he first learned of the 'Stellar' secrets, a chill ran through him. He quickly turned to ask, "Are the 'Devil' and 'Prisoner' paths derived from the 'Tree of Desire'?"
The "Yellow Light" Wintan, dressed in a long lemon-yellow robe, sighed, "Indeed, His full title is 'Mother Tree of Desire,' 'Father of Demons,' 'Eternal Roarer,' and 'God of Unraveling Mind. Therefore, when difficulties arise, 'The Bound God' is often able to seize the opportunity and achieve erosion with relative ease."
"Mother... father... is that being a man or a woman...? Well, for entities of this level, it's quite normal to have no distinction between male and female—different manifestations, different forms... Hmph. They want me to have a child. From the state of 'the Bound God,' I truly feel myself being caught—perhaps it will be *me* who gives birth, and then that child will inherit the 'Source Citadel,' allowing the 'Desire Mother Tree' to gradually infiltrate and control this source essence. From this perspective, maybe the path of the 'prisoner,' who indulges in desire, is indeed the true path of 'performance.' But is this path leading outward toward the Outer Gods, or should we instead practice restraint? Klein furrowed his brows, posing a question he had long suspected but now longed to resolve: 'Given that there are so many Outer Gods, why have they not yet succeeded in penetrating our world?' "
Based on the information Klein currently has, it can be inferred that even with only the "Fallen Mother" and the "Desire Mother Tree," the Outer Gods could easily overcome the previous seven deities, along with the "True Maker" and the "Primordial Witch" and others. The plump, golden-hued Hilaryon smiled and said: "All our sorrows stem from 'The First,' and all our fortunes also originate from 'The First.' He has left behind not only spirit, will, imprints, and contamination, but also primordial substance, inherent qualities, and power. His residual strength beyond the planet forms an invisible barrier, preventing the Outer Gods from directly invading. However, over time, as 'The First' has never truly revived, His will and strength have steadily waned. By the end of the Fourth Age, this decline had become severe—cracks now appeared in the invisible barrier, compelling the seven deities to relocate their divine realm to the stellar plane to compensate for the gaps.
"It's no wonder that the true gods could still walk upon the earth in the Fourth Age, yet by the Fifth Age, even their appearances became rare... Kline suddenly felt enlightened and asked, "When the original will and power further wane, and the intangible barriers vanish, will the end come?" The ever-smiling "Orange Light" Hilaryon glanced at the "Yellow Light" Winitan, and his expression instantly grew serious: "Yes." At that point, with so many foreign deities—such as the "Fallen Mother Goddess," "Mother Tree of Desire," and "Child of Chaos"—making their incursions, even if the goddesses became "Old Days," they would still be utterly unable to withstand the onslaught. It would be a miracle if the other Sequence-0 deities could hold off just one or two of them—let alone a ratio of one to nine, or even more... Kline found himself utterly overwhelmed, deeply experiencing what it truly meant to be hopeless. That's why it was called the End! With his emotions shifting, he immediately sensed the "Primordial" spiritual imprint strengthening, further penetrating the anchored regions.
Klein hurried to steady his composure and restore the fragile equilibrium. "That is precisely why pollution originating from the depths naturally dissipates if it neither approaches nor confronts the surface?" Klein recalled certain esoteric knowledge he had previously acquired. "Your Highness, you are absolutely correct," replied Hilaryon of the "Orange Light."
"But the original will will fade, while the spirit will endure forever, never being extinguished unless the entire universe collapses into a single point. Therefore, there remains a possibility for the original will to awaken within the higher beings—this possibility grows stronger with greater spiritual stature, and the corresponding influence and erosion become more pronounced."
How curious that the forces that transcend the ordinary and the curses that are impossible to escape always appear together... Claryn sighed, pushing aside the matter that wasn't quite within his own sphere of concern, and asked instead:
"Do you know the magical recipe for the 'Mysterious Servant's' elixir?"
The 'Violet Light' Saint, holding the amethyst, replied:
"There is a specific mystical attachment to this knowledge, which exists outside the spiritual realm. However, based on our observations, the rituals of the 'Mysterious Servant' appear to be closely linked to the spiritual world."
The 'Orange Light' Hilaryon immediately smiled warmly at Claryn:
"Your Highness, should you ever need our assistance, we will be more than happy to provide it."
"This enthusiasm is a bit overwhelming—just like facing the 'Mirror' of Arordes... Klein nodded gently, preparing to shift the topic. After a moment's thought, he spoke solemnly, "Do you know of the 'Master of the Flourishing and the Primordial'? He rendered the title in Elvish. For a brief moment, the seven lights fell silent, exchanging glances, none of them responding immediately. A few seconds passed, and only then did the 'Orange Light,' Hilaryon, sigh, "We still cannot be certain whether you are indeed the same as Him. He was an 'Age-old'—active from the end of the previous civilization through the mid-first age—our term for the 'Great Sovereign above the Spirit Realm.' 'Master of the Flourishing and the Primordial' is His title in the Western Continent. His other titles include: 'King of Time and Space,' 'Marker of Fate,' 'Manifestation of the Source Citadel,' and 'Ruler of the Spirit Realm,' and..." Pausing, the 'Orange Light' added, "and, of course, 'Master of the Mysterious.'"
