As the magic potion of the "Mysterious Servant" entered his body, Caine instantly felt a sense of expansion and swelling. In an instant, he lost sensation of his physical form and of the "Spirit Insects," watching them fade and dissipate, merging into the ethereal realm—something utterly incomprehensible through ordinary language or logical reasoning—seeming to dissolve into abstract, intricate streams of information. At that moment, Caine's consciousness remained only barely intact, retaining a sense of self. "He" floated amidst countless strange figures within the spirit realm, now deprived of sensation from his body and his extraordinary traits, further subjected to the relentless flow of thoughts, information, knowledge, symbols, and identifiers, drifting on the edge of losing himself entirely and merging completely with the spirit realm. If this continued, Caine would inevitably be completely lost. Yet at this very moment, a region within the spirit realm established contact with his consciousness.
There corresponds a town where people live ordinary lives, each with their own names, stories, and destinies, intertwining and weaving together to form a complete spiritual realm information—abstract concepts in essence. Eventually, the town was destroyed by a terrifying natural disaster and buried beneath the dust of history. Klein dispersed like mist, almost merging into the body of the spiritual realm, guided by fate, and combined with the spiritual projections of other non-utopian, enigmatic figures, regaining substance. ………… Bayam, beneath the Seaside Church, in a room that is no longer sealed. Alje extends his hands and presses against the door before him. The door's surface is a deep blue, adorned with a series of mysterious and unusual reliefs. It is half-open, and within lies profound darkness—without a single ray of light—connecting to an unknown world.
This darkness seems to possess its own life, gently oozing outward like a flowing current, slowly eroding the surrounding areas. Crack! Aljer drives his feet hard into the ground, causing it to split and erupting a river of crimson-white lava. This is his created "catastrophe," designed to halt the darkness's advance. Yet, upon entering the darkness, the surging lava makes no impact and simply fades away. As a result, the darkness recoils slightly, pauses for a moment, then continues its outward erosion. Roar! Aljer generates successive storms—gales, downpours, thunderstorms—repeatedly pushing the darkness back. At the same time, his hands firmly press against the "Blue Gate," preventing it from opening further. Should he face only this Level 1 sealant, Aljer would have no difficulty at all, even possessing the strength to attempt a full seal. But at this very moment, there are two other equally dangerous items surrounding him.
This forced him to sing aloud, using a melody of death to influence those around him, disrupting the operation of other sealed objects and gradually building layer upon layer of blue-sea walls beside himself. These walls gradually turned gray and then whitish, as though transforming into stone. The trend could not be halted and continued to spread toward Aljé's body. At most, he could hold on for thirty seconds—“Lord of the Storm” had not yet responded. Aljé's thoughts raced through his mind, suppressing his reluctance and frustration, and swiftly made his decision. With no hesitation, he immediately caused a crystalline snow to emerge in the center of his palm—a hexagonal imprint left over from his first attendance at the Tarot Gathering, which could now serve as a substitute for chanting the name of the Lord, drawing the attention of the "Knight of Wisdom" toward this side.
At the "Gate of Flesh," layers of collapsing and condensing luminous spheres seem to form a figure composed of stacked gates—this figure, clad in a tide of blood-red hue, continuously twists and transforms, reflecting the diverse planets and regions. At this moment, a brilliant beam of sunlight pierces the night, descending from the stellar realm, melting all things it encounters along the way. Beyond this beam, an opaque night surges in, striving to engulf Bertil Abraham, the "Gate" seeking promotion to Sequence 0. The land where the altar stands vibrates violently, cracking open vast fissures, aiming to draw both the "Gate of Flesh" and Bertil Abraham down toward the earth's core, where they will face the "Chaos Sea"—a boundless expanse embracing all colors and possibilities. Immediately afterward, a faint, diffused glow emerges from the void, enveloping the forest, attempting to restore the trees, soil, and altar to their most fundamental particulate structures.
At the single opening of that faint light, two bronze-colored eyes emerged. They gazed upon the "Gate of Flesh" and Berthel Abraham, seeking to imprint their forms into their own pupils.
Mr. Gate let out a low roar, causing the blood-red robe he wore to ripple upward. This robe was connected to the strange tidal surge behind the "Gate of Flesh," spreading out a crimson moonlight around it.
When touched by this moonlight, the otherwise opaque night spontaneously coalesced, extending limbs and a head, transforming into a spectral human woman.
She now possessed her own life and consciousness, no longer subject to the will of the user.
No exception: the blinding sunlight became a young man clad in armor of flame; the trembling earth grew eyes and closed its mouth; the hazy, diffused light forming the barrier revealed eerie features; and around the bronze eyes, individual lashes emerged, growing into wings.
These disruptions and hindrances themselves became chaotic, granting the "Gate" a moment of respite. Seizing this opportunity, It completed the final step toward divinity. At that very moment, the "Gate of Flesh" suddenly collapsed on its own, settling over the surface of the "Gate," as though transforming Him into a completely different being. ........
Klein's body seemed to split into countless individuals, each with their own preferences, personalities, convictions, destinies, living within a town named Utopia. These people swiftly lived out brief lives, only to awaken with clarity during the downpour of lightning, recognizing their most essential identities.
Was it Zhou Mingrui? Or Klein Moretti? Or Sherlock Moriarty? Or Germán Sparo? Or D'Artagnan Thénardier? Or Merlin Hermes?
A thing may have many names, yet its essence remains unchanged.
One by one, these "people" lifted their heads, gazing toward the infinite heights from the ethereal city within the spiritual realm. They saw the fine, delicate threads of spiritual essence, and perceived a symbol composed of certain "eyeless eyes" and certain "twisted lines." Around this symbol, the outline of Caine's form emerged, his eyes tightly closed. One by one, the "spirit insects," each imbued with unique qualities, began to rise from the spiritual region corresponding to Utopia, flying toward Caine's somewhat ethereal body, gradually endowing it with substance. At this point, the distinction between Caine's spiritual essence and his physical body became indistinct—both unified and dispersed, existing in a delicate, balanced state. Thus, the spiritual essence could be considered equivalent to the physical body, and the physical body could merge into the spiritual essence, allowing Caine to effortlessly transition between these two states at will. Indeed, he could also choose to separate the physical body and the spiritual essence, allowing each to develop its own distinct characteristics—merely with a thought.
Two seconds. The reorganization was complete. Deep within the spiritual realm, Kline opened his eyes—his pupils were now pure black, devoid of any light. He had ascended to Sequence 1, becoming a "Mysterious Servant." Without a sound, a gray-white mist rose behind him. Upon the mist stood an ancient palace, within which stood a door—stained with a hint of dark green—composed of countless luminous spheres. This luminous gate appeared clearly within the spiritual realm, casting a somewhat blurred silhouette toward Kline's body. As the silhouette resolved into intricate symbols and imprinted upon the center of Kline's brow, the entire spiritual realm and the external physical world trembled gently, as though struck by an earthquake originating from afar. At that moment, Kline's surroundings deepened, and one by one, phantom stars emerged, orbiting the strange luminous gate as if yearning to gather around it.
Among these phantom stars, the two largest overlapped, corresponding to a specific region in the real world. The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth largest stars were located elsewhere—distinct places. Through these phantom stars, Caine saw the "Gatekeeper" on an island, saw Antigonus in the decaying palace of the Hidden World, saw Charathus concealed in the unknown lands, saw the Parthian Zoroastrian presence upon Leonard's body, and saw the dark magical wolf Kotar. By leveraging the anomalies arising from his further mastery of the "Source Keep," Caine identified the angels and the Angel Kings corresponding to the three paths of the "Mysterious." Of course, this "vision" lasted only a brief few seconds—once the figures of Amun and Charathus, among others, reacted and concealed themselves using the proper method, Caine would no longer be able to lock onto their true forms. Without hesitation, Caine raised his right hand and snapped his fingers once.
The "Staff of Stars," originally housed within the "Astral Citadel," suddenly appeared in his hands, and he dispatched a portion of his "Spirit Insects" to enter the Citadel, to prevent unforeseen changes and respond to the faithful. ——Since becoming a "Mysterious Servant," Celine's control over the "Astral Citadel" has deepened further, allowing him to retrieve items at any time and from any location. The very next moment, multiple gemstones on the "Staff of Stars" illuminated, and Celine vanished from the spiritual realm, instantly "travelling" through the marshlands to stand before Charathus. Charathus, wearing a hooded black robe and bearing a full white beard, remained calm. He utilized the extraordinary abilities of a "Mysterious Servant" to establish various connections, while extending his left hand and reaching into the void ahead. ………… Gradually, Aljé's body began to take on a grayish hue, approaching petrification. Had it been his failure in monitoring Veldu that had caused the "Fool" to no longer attend to him?
His brows slightly furrowed, he wanted to give up, yet remained deep within the earth. At that moment, a pale mist floated before his eyes, and all the sealed objects grew still. ........ "Mr. Bertlie Abraham," the voice familiar to him echoed in his ears as the "Gate of Flesh" enveloped him, "Do you wish to bring the disaster back to reality?" Bertlie Abraham's movements instantly slowed. "Give up," the familiar voice resumed, "I have a way to handle this. I will ensure your peaceful rest, allowing you the calm you seek."
